So much to marvel about Lokonon in the interview…
SJ: Can we meet you Sire?
Lokonon: My name is Lokonon Deale Michel a.k.a Michelloko, a Lagos based gospel Singer and Chef from Benin Republic, I cook intercontinental and african Meals and also a trumpet instrumentalist.
SJ: So How do you merge the Chef and Artiste Personalities to get going smoothly?
Lokonon: first of all , I was born into the Church Choir, along the way when I was 11 year old I noticed the evergrowing urge to create songs of my own so I started composing music. When i was 20years I told my father I want to attend a musical school Dad had wanted to make that dream a reality but had Financial restrains so I moved to Nigeria in 2010 where I enrolled in a catering school. It’s not been easy but then Music is kinda like who I am (A part of me now) while cooking is fun like a hobby to me so its not that tasking, to the Glory of God.
SJ: So when did you start a career professionally?
Lokonon: In 2017. I had my first Studio Single Jehovah You too Much out in collaboration with Wumi Spell nd I Tunz. And since then it’s been an amazing Journey with so much success story to be thankful for.
SJ: So why Gospel? I mean, you can just drop one circular single and you’re Everywhere.
Lokonon: That’s true though but Yes I do only Gospel music because I love praising God nd worshiping him So every of my song exaults the name of God.
SJ: So, erm… what’s the ultimate goal? I mean “the Big Picture”
Lokonon: I want to be number one Chef/Gospel Artist in the world…
SJ: Wow , that’s a big one! so before we wrap it up, any last word for the fans?
Lokonon: Ofcourse, I just wanna say a big thank you for all of the lovve and support so far, your encouragement is what keeps me going and i promising to keep doing better…
