Yang 21, a Nigerian Afropop artiste two songs: “For U” & “Gravity” from his debut EP, Goosebumps, were used as score and background music in the season finale of Skinny Girl In Transit.
Skinny Girl In Transit is a Nigerian comedy series that chronicles the lifestyle of Tiwa, a plus-sized young lady living in Lagos finding balance between relationship and work.
Do a quick search of Yang 21 on Twitter and read through his bio. You will find him describing himself as a pop artiste with some soul. That’s not far from the truth.
He made his debut in the Nigerian music scene with a release of a cover of Teni’s Case and then the release of his first official single, “Etowa” in February, 2019. The song had a mass appeal and airplay across Urban Radio stations in Nigeria.
Yang 21 might be regard as a new kid on the block but he has been around for a year. In May, 2019, he released his debut body of work, Goosebumps EP. It was well received among his listeners from across Nigeria and other parts of the world.
