Spotlight: Meet Hip Hop/ Dancehall Act – “Citimillz” Fast Emerging from The South

Citimillz is a Hip-hop/Dancehall artist from Uyo- Akwa Ibom State. a graduate of Electrical/Electronics Engineering from University Degree in University of Uyo.

The fast emerging Super Star debuted as a Solo act in 2020 with the Hip-hop/Highlife love song “Swit Potato“ produced by Double D. prior to these he was a member of the now defunct band group “The Hidden Legends” far back in 2007 where he never failed to stand out in performances and writtings.

The Award winning musician released his first EP Classic and Boujee EP in 2022 a 6-tracker EP with 3 Amapiano hits including “Dia Mkpo” and a highlife sound released on 17th November 2022. The EP has production credits to Double D, Secret Soundz who produced his hit “Classic and Boujee” and “Banger” produced by Big Bitz, “Dia Mkpo” produced by Chrome Soundz. Citimillz featured Falex and Tozzle on his EP.

The rapper has been relentless in feeding his fans with amazing music as he followed up the progression with a trendy single “Show Your Style”, which happened to be his first Amapiano chune produced by Blaakstars Beat closely followed by his Reggaeton street anthem “Mkpo asi ba” featuring Zillions Dondada and Pope Don X, he then later dropped a drill tune titled “Paper Chaser“ ft Ikpa Udo and Lj Saaaviour still in 2022 and has maintained a commendable level of consistency in dropping hot jams for fans of his music craft.

On 14th November 2022, he decided to pitch the bar and collaborated with South African forces including KayyGee ZA, Sabza Di Buckz, and Pro Siga a producer to compose “Ithemba” meaning “Hope” in the native South African dialect. A House flavour with a catch of harmony and rhythm dropped on 14th November 2022 and later released an Amapiano version finally Mastered by Blaakstars Beat released on 27th March 2022.

In 2024, the Sound Commado as fondly called by his fans has fed his fans appetite with a fresh Amapiano gospel sound already in appreciation of God’s kindness towards his music career on the 13th of February titled “Elevate” produced by Asuzu and another sound “Let me know” ft Blaakstar on Valentine’s Day 14th February produced by Blaakstars Beat.
